For a Birkenstock Resole, we replace your wornout soles with genuine Birkenstock original factory-made soling rubber. In tandem with a Resole, we also offer Cork Repair to fix up areas of the cork footbed where cracks may have formed. This is achieved by filling and patching these cracked areas with a cork mixture.

10mm vs 7mm sole thickness: Most Birkenstocks are manufactured with a 10mm sole, however, historically models with a single strap, such as the Madrid, are made with a 7mm sole. For this reason it is only recommended to select 7mm sole thickness for single strap models like the Madrid or kid's models.
Birkenstock original sole vs Gatorsole:
Option 1: Birkenstock original 10mm EVA sole, providing excellent cushioned comfort, support, lightweightness, grip and known durability
Option 2: Gatorsole, our inhouse assembled sole unit, using 6mm high quality EVA rubber to provide cushioning, comfort, and shock absorption, bonded to a hardwearing, natural rubber outsole, that is also 6mm.
Cork Repair options:
- Front - A small area of cracking isolated toward the front of a single shoe is repaired.
- Back - A small area of cracking isolated toward the back of a single shoe is repaired.
- Flex Point, Right Side - Cracking at the flexpoint of the right side of a single shoe is repaired.
- Flex Point, Left Side - Cracking at the flexpoint of the left side of a single shoe is repaired.

Cork repairs are necessary where they intersect with the sole attachment area. It's important to consider that there is a limit to the extent in which cork can be repaired, and if the damage is too great we will contact you upon assessment. If you find that the price is creeping toward our Birkenstock Recycle price ($120), we highly recommend considering this option for better value and results.

The repair process is completed with a minimum of one coat of water-based cork sealant. This sealant protects the cork, dries to a glossy clear finish and remains clear even when wet, providing excellent protection.

Our soles are bonded pneumatically using an original footbed-shaped last, ensuring a precise and durable bond.

We are an authorised Birkenstock resoler with 30 years of experience, operating from the same workshop that provides this service to Birkenstock Soul - Petersham.

Resole Price is per pair.
